Faraway in the high mountain, there is an H’Mong family living lonely year around. Their only food is corn and potato. A 16-year-old mother already has a daughter of 9 months and she is carrying another baby. Her daily routine includes farming, tending the cows and raising the pigs. Her husband is attending boarding high school; he is not mature enough to understand the responsibility of a husband and a father.

The movie describes the feeling of a 16-year-old girl who wishes to go to school and become a singer while she is put under compulsion of out-dated customs.
